Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Who we are

DJ Rymes UK is responsible for the personal information collected through this website for the purposes described in this policy.

If you have any questions about your personal information or this Privacy Policy, contact us at bookings@djrymesuk.info.

2. Information we collect

When you use the booking enquiry form or contact us directly, we may collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your event type and the service you are interested in;
  • the proposed event date;
  • the venue, town or location;
  • event details such as timings, guest numbers, music preferences and setup requirements; and
  • any other information you choose to include in your enquiry or later correspondence.

This website does not currently collect payment card details.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to booking and service enquiries;
  • check availability and prepare quotations;
  • discuss, arrange and deliver bookings;
  • communicate with you before and after an event;
  • keep appropriate business, accounting and transaction records;
  • deal with questions, complaints or disputes; and
  • protect the website and our business from misuse, fraud or security issues.

We do not add people who make booking enquiries to a marketing mailing list unless they separately choose to receive marketing.

4. Our lawful bases

Depending on why we are using your information, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK data protection law:

  • Contract: where using your information is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a booking agreement, or to perform an agreed booking.
  • Legitimate interests: where it is reasonably necessary to respond to general enquiries, manage customer relationships, administer the business or protect the website, provided your rights and interests do not override those interests.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to keep or use information to comply with tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
  • Consent: where we specifically ask for your consent, for example for optional marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Who we share information with

We only share personal information where it is necessary for the purposes described above. This may include:

  • IONOS, which hosts the website and related services;
  • FormSubmit, which is used to transmit booking form submissions to our booking email;
  • our email service providers, where needed to receive and respond to enquiries;
  • professional advisers, accountants, insurers or authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required; and
  • suppliers or event partners where sharing limited information is necessary to arrange or deliver a confirmed booking.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Third-party media and links

The website includes or links to third-party services such as SoundCloud, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Eventbrite and Google Forms. When you interact with embedded content or follow a link to one of these services, that provider may collect information about your device or activity under its own privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites, so you should review their privacy information when using those services.

7. International transfers

Some service providers used by this website may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, transfers should be handled using safeguards recognised by UK data protection law or another valid transfer mechanism.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

  • Enquiries that do not result in a booking are normally retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless there is a reason to keep them longer.
  • Information relating to confirmed bookings, payments, contracts or business transactions may be retained for longer where needed for accounting, tax, contractual, insurance or legal purposes.

When information is no longer required, we aim to delete it securely or remove identifying details where appropriate.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses essential browser storage to remember your privacy choice and keep the site working. Optional third-party media from SoundCloud, YouTube and TikTok is blocked until you choose to allow it.

If you accept optional media, those providers may set cookies or use similar technologies under their own privacy policies. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

10. How we protect information

We take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure and limit access to people or service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes. However, no method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to:

  • ask for a copy of your personal information;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information;
  • object to certain uses of your information;
  • receive certain information in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To exercise a privacy right, email bookings@djrymesuk.info. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12. Your right to object

You have the right to object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests. You can contact us at any time to raise an objection.

13. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we use your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for information about making a complaint.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, website or data-handling practices change. The date at the top of this page will show when it was last updated.
